"Summertime....and the living is easy"......channel Janis Joplin for a moment!! We have finally gotten the weather we are supposed to have this time of year! Sunny, warm, but not too warm, gentle breezes keeping the bugs away...pretty darn near PERFECT!!! The Michigan back roads are full of farm markets, and they are brimming with fresh strawberries, and the yummy sweet cherries right now! The sour/tart cherries are due around July 18th!
The skies have been so beautiful...little fluffy pink clouds in the mornings, and big white puffs mid afternoon!

We had a gorgeous 4th of July weekend!! Even the B&B got all decked out! I just love the old style banners on the wrap around porch! Something I always wanted...and am now blessed to have! My sis & her boyfriend came up and spent the weekend with us. We had a full house, but we were still able to sneak away to Elk Rapids for the day...and came back for a yummy BBQ! We were able to watch fireworks right from our front porch...courtesy of Shanty Creek! Great weekend!
We still have some wonderful weather weekends coming up (along with mid-week) so make your reservations soon! We are filling up fast! There is so much to do up North....Sleeping Bear Dunes, Mackinac Island, Grass River Natural Area....rent a boat and hit Lake Bellaire and Torch Lake!
