Planning an April Country Inn Getaway? Check out the Applesauce Inn B&B

Angel the Kid enjoying the Spring Sunshine

We here at the Applesauce Inn B&B are ready for spring!!!  I spent the day yesterday (Monday 3/21) out in the soon to be gardens.  I trimmed back all of our grape vines, there was a lot of dead vines, and I am hoping that the vines that are green, will come back this year.  I tightened up the wire supports and did a major clean up of the area!!  I turned the soil in the smaller salad garden, I will use this area just for baby leaf lettuces, arugula, cukes and my pickles!  This area is already fenced in to keep the critters out.  The flower garden in the front of the house is going to be beautiful again this year, and I will be adding more lovelies to this area~I have several day lilies waiting to get in the ground!  The daffodils are poking through the soil.....and I can't wait to see my beloved lilacs.....ah how I love spring!!

Our lovely country Inn is ready to show itself off for the Spring season!  The birds are coming back! (robins, cardinals, goldfinches and even the Eagles have been seen the last several days)  This is a great time to getaway...the crowds have not arrived yet, the local restaurants and Short's Brewing Company are still  accessible!!  The hiking trails are yours alone...bring your cameras and binoculars so you can capture the rebirth of the forests.   The Applesauce Inn Bed and Breakfast is a great home base for all of your day trips....visit our website for some wonderful ideas!   http://www.applesauceinn.com

  1. Hi Jaime! Thank you so much for visiting and following my blog :) Michiganders have such an adventurous spirit and I think this state attracts those of us with the same taste for adventure. So great to "meet" you here in cyber-land. Can't wait to look through this blog more and learn all about your b&b!
